So, I've found that after hour three of hitting cookbooks and Pinterest looking for recipes to try that your brain will officially turn to Jello and you'll just throw up your hands and say, "We're having noodle bowl night for dinner" and that's that *laugh*.
I'm doing a bit better today after about six hours of near solid sleep last night. Night before I didn't get nearly that (son was up till nearly five am), so I feel like I can think today. Which yay for that!
So, onto the menu plan for this week!
Menu Plan for Week of 6/6/16
Monday: Noodle Bowl Night/Leftover Chicken enchiladas
Tuesday: Shrimp Garlic Butter Pasta, mango slices
Wednesday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad (from garden)
Thursday: Chicken Souvlaki with cream sauce, rice, salad (or fruit cocktail)
Friday: Pancakes, bacon, eggs
Saturday: Chicken Salad Sandwiches, sliced fruit, french fries
Sunday: Sausage and Biscuits Casserole (still haven't made this yet. Figuring if this turns out it'll be a good thing to make on Sunday so my husband has breakfasts he can reheat during the week)
Desserts: Pudding (using up boxed milk that is about a month past it's expiration date. I know it's still good, but still...use it up time :).
To Bake: Bread. Hopefully I'll get to this earlier in the week, but I'm planning on it not happening until this weekend the way schedules go.
Look at that - salad from the garden! Yummy!! I envy you that! Here are my dinners:
ReplyDeletehamburgers with balsamic caramelized onions and homemade sweet potato fries, Pastalaya (from Budget Bytes), Canadian bacon and mandarin orange pizza (the mandarin oranges being something my daughter brought home from her dorm that needs to be eaten), spaghetti and meatballs (found marked down meatballs for $2 - I'll take it!), hot dogs and potatoes (fried with onions - it's actually very good) served with green beans. We have salad mix and fruit to eat with any meals.
Good sounding meals again!!! We are going to spend the next few dys doing leftovers. Memorial day, my husbnd insisted on bbqing half a brisket and a whole chicken and wanted me to make a ton of specific sides....just for the two of us since the kids wont eat that. Well, theres still a bunch left (such a waste of money grrr) and Im not sure if its still sfe to et, nd qe are getting ready to go out of town for a few days so will be careful, but hoping to use up the good prts, plus leftovers from this week.
ReplyDeleteI saw this, and thought about your kids. Burpee will send free seeds and emil what not for kids learning.
