When the motor developed a short, my husband just found a replacement motor on Craigslist (the rest of that machine was trashed but the motor was good) for a fraction of what the Kirby store would have charged us.
Melissa V
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536514511090897212.post-77261363102558496822019-08-15T14:02:30.847-08:002019-08-15T14:02:30.847-08:00Phew, that's a lot going on. I'm so sorry to hear about your freezer, what a bummer, and I hope your son improves soon.

Your bathroom looks great, and thanks for mentioning the Sherwin Williams paint simulator. I'm going to try that out, as painting my bathroom is on my list of projects now that I'll have both kids in school full time. Whenever you don'...Good to hear from your Erika. Whenever you don't post for a while I always assume you are very busy. I'm sorry your freezer died and that your son has been ill. I hope you get to catch up on sleep very soon. I'm also sorry you have to spend so much time and energy repairing your home after the earthquake damaged it.

Life has been stressful in our house of late. My mother and father-in-law are both very ill and need extra support. My mother isn't driving anymore and so needs transport to her many medical appointments and shopping. This most often falls to me and my sister closest in age to me. My disabled daughter had a fall (at the doctor's surgery) this week. Fortunately she has no broken bones but she does have soft-tissue damage. Her leg is quite swollen and she is struggling to walk. I think everyone within a mile radius must have heard her screaming when we took her to get xrays and then a support bandage for her leg.

My winter vegie garden has fared poorly this year. The seeds I planted have grown, a bit, but although the weather has been mild for winter here, the plants have not grown enough to harvest, and I don't understand why. The winter has been so mild that my rhubarb and comfrey plants have not died completely back like they usually do, which worries me. I had high hopes for my winter garden - it did well last year. As I said - I don't understand why it has been unsuccessful this year and it is hard to do better in the future if you don't know what you have done wrong. We don't have moose problems though!
On the frugal front, I have stocked up on grocery items when they were 1/2 price and I am in the process of using all our fresh vegies before I buy an more produce. I am making do with what we have and using frozen vegies.
I am sorry you have had so much trouble with Amazon. What a disappointment!

I think of you often and always hope that life starts to go your way for a change.

DebbieDebbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02190558685951378227noreply@blogger.com
